The power of an led outdoor lighting floodlight ranges from 10W to more than 1000W. To make your choice, you must first estimate the ideal power in relation to your lighting needs. For this, you will mainly have to take into account the use you want to make of the device and the place of installation.
You can get an idea of the capacity of an LED projector compared to a conventional bulb by multiplying its power by 7. If you take for example a 50W LED projector, you will have: 50 x 7 = 350W. This gives you a rough estimate, although the actual capacity also depends on the LED used, its design and its ability to reflect light.
Choosing a 50W LED projector to illuminate a small area of 10 m² is therefore counterproductive, as the light may be quite dazzling. In general, it is recommended for the optimal lighting of a space of 10 to 15 m² to opt for a 10 W LED projector. Between 15 and 20 m², a power of 20 W is quite indicated.
A 30W model is suitable for an area of 25 to 30 m² and a 50W LED projector is suitable for a space of around 40 m². The larger the outdoor space, the higher the power of the LED floodlight required. Of course, this is only an estimate. The configuration of the premises as well as the lighting system (direct, indirect) may lead you to make another choice.
